How is the Examination Conducted?

The examination begins with a case history then progresses to postural analysis, gait analysis, motion palpation, static palpation, and orthopedic and/or neurological examination. During the examination I am looking for stiffness, lack of propulsion, lameness, gait abnormalities, ranges of motion, injuries, muscle atrophy and of course subluxations.

What is an Adjustment?

An adjustment consists of a measured thrust into the joint plane, which can restore motion and alignment. This thrust allows the joint to move freely and the nervous system to function properly.

How Long Will Treatment Take?

Several factors determine the number of adjustments that will be required to correct a problem. The age and physical condition of the animal are important. The length of time the problem has been present is also a factor, along with the severity of the problem.

Routine Chiropractic Care can result in a healthier, more athletic animal, with decreased risk of arthritis and disease.

  • When nothing else works!

Most animals find chiropractic care to be very relaxing. They may be apprehensive with the first adjustment, but soon relax as the treatment continues. Most apprehension is caused by the placement of the doctor's hands on painful areas of the animal's body. However, once the adjustment is made, the animal will indicate relaxation by breathing deeply, licking their lips, or stretching.
